Now this one is cool NH!
By the way I just dragged and dropped the picture, from Night Hawks post into where I write my post.
I tried it on a whim and it worked. Much better than quoting then deleting the unnecessary parts.
Of course it's only the thumbnail.
That site is loaded with goodies to pick over there! I think you didn't go through as thoroughly or would have already known that! They have Screenrollers for some interesting finished papers as well as the various 1024x1024 res more or less backdrops that can also being used for dvd editing when reducing the res down a bit. Resizing to 1600 or higher from the 1024 width can cause problems however depending either pattern or object and why the gauges made for interesting inserts there!
That's expected for 3D art textures websites.
The main use of those images is in 3D modeling texturing and rendering.
Those are used on a different level for 3D. In case of bitmaps we go in 2D so tiling and resizing are our main weapons here.
Yep, better scale down. If those are tiles: you don't resize up to 1600, you tile to 1600. Or you texture... but we use on a flat canvas in bitmap manipulations (I read Paint.NET in your case and GIMP in mine).Resizing to 1600 or higher from the 1024 width can cause problems
The gauges are used like this:
