    For those wanting Aero

    I found this:

[LINK] Aero Glass with Gaussian blur for build 10240: x64 only : Windows10

It's officially only for x64, but it does work in x86, but not as well as the official debug version.

For some reason it's not working on my Win 10 Pro. Decompressed the .rar file to C:\, ran the .bat file, ran the install file, rebooted, and still have the blah opaque default Win10 title bar.

    [edited to add:]

I missed the critical "run installx64.bat as administrator" in the instructions. Once I ran the .bat file as administrator, it installed.

However, there's a minor, but irritating, glitch. Running the mouse cursor over a title bar leaves a trail of rectangular artifacts. It is most noticeable if the title bar is in front of a white background. I tried to capture a screen shot, but it doesn't show the artifacts.

While the hack shows promise, on my system anyway, it's not quite "there" yet.

In case it's video card dependent I'm using the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 on my i3-3225 processor.

It's hard to read the instructions, they are in Russian. I translated it.

Unpack the archive to the root of C:
    Start install_x64.cmd.
Through AeroGui register Reflection.png picture as in the screenshot ( slider to adjust the degree of transparency ) .
Topic register in Theme atlas image
Starting transparency through executable AeroGlass_x86 ( 64 ) .exe from the administrator (Selection System-wide settings)
You have to run the "install_x64.bat" or "install_x86.bat" command in an Admin Command prompt. You might have to reboot, or, open your Task Scheduler and look for the AeroGlass entry, run it and it should start up. If you are on 32 bit Windows 10, it's not as pronounced, but you still get the Gaussian Blur. I went back to the AeroGlass Debug version. With that one, you have to extract to c:\aeroglass, and then add an entry to Task Manager to start it at boot. It has to be run under "System" user with Highest Privileges. But it does this:

Sorry for the moire effect, but here's a snapshot from my cell phone camera. I moved the cursor (no buttons depressed) from right to left in a snaking (sine wave) motion:

If you install the "Debug Version" from the AeroGlass website, you can run this to close off that debug nag window.

Copy it to your AeroGlass folder and you might have to create a task to run it during boot. I have to use this method because the "cracked" version is 64-bit only, works like a charm on 32 bit systems. It runs in the Tray, and the options are all in Russian, check the middle selection. The bottom selection is "exit".

Not too shabby, fits the theme of 10 well. I can't seem to make inactive windows a different color, or is it just like that?

    They are always dark grey.

They finally released an update that includes Windows 10 10240, version 1.4 - I posted it in another thread, should be on the front page under customizations, or look in my history. Or just download it from here.

    Aero Glass for Windows 8.x+

If you have a 32-bit machine, do not try to load the Modern Apps support, because that module is 64-bit only and fails the install.

Just downloaded and installed 1.4 for 10 Pro x64. So far so good. I also installed the experimental Modern App Support but I have not tested it with any apps yet. I like where it is going...simple install and low resource usage aeroglass.

Anybody else having the trail of artifacts follow the cursor when over the title bar? More to the point, anybody have a fix for it?
