Windows 8.1 theme, window frames etc

    Hi all,

    I saw this site

Windows 8 Themes Final for Win10 by sagorpirbd on DeviantArt

Which shows the Windows 8.1-style theme and windows running on Windows 10. I would like this, but having tried the method on Windows 10 in a virtual machine, I can't seem to get it to work. Has anyone got any tips for getting the Windows 8.1 theme running on Windows 10? I really am not a fan of the Windows 10 default theme.

    Thanks

Thanks very much for the reply Edwin.

However, this still has the huge ugly title bars on App Windows, unlike the theme on the site I linked to which is the actual Windows 8.1 theme. I would love to find a way to get this theme running in Windows 10 but can't seem to find an easy solution.

I would like this too. It would make me a lot more enchanted with Windows 10. I kinda miss the early TP builds for this reason now ...lol

Whether you try to run the patched theme from dA or use the AeroLite theme, it's the same result.

Not strictly true, the AeroLite theme looks nothing like the standard Windows 8.1 theme and also shows a lot of border corruption on some windows. The screenshot from the DA theme is clearly Windows 10 running with the much better looking (IMO) Windows 8.1 UI.

Ya'll know what happens, if the patcher works(and it usually doesn't just as @Edwin), and you want to uninstall it/turn it off????

Your system goes Windows 8.1 theme, window frames etc-nuke_explosion.gif

And then you need to reimage(You do make system images don't you?)
    Or reinstall.
