Long talks early today with my own doctor and a neurologist, aftermath of a strange fit I had Friday week and a half ago when I had to call emergency doctor and paramedics when suddenly I couldn't move from my chair.

On that day I was feeling good but once seated my legs simply didn't do what the brains told them to do, to move. I just sat there, feeling otherwise OK but I could not stand up or move. Pinching my legs I could feel everything, it was just that my legs were totally unable to move. After an hour or so I had to call my doctor who alarmed emergency medics who then had to contact the house management company to get someone to open my door because I was completely unable to go and open it.

Got instructions then to leave my experimental medicament I had taken for my neurological and balance issues, today I found out that apparently this is not something I can use any more, my body rejecting it. No treatment or medicine before once again a full round of neurological and other tests. Got instructions to "take it easy, no stress, regular exercise and sleep". LOL that said to a lazy ass insomniac who hates any physical exercise like me :)

In Finnish we have one of the most beautiful words in any language: kalsarikännit, and an emoji for it:

Kalsarikännit pretty much sums up my day today and in fact the rest of my week, having nothing else to do than wait tests to start on Monday next week. As docs told me today, I am going to take it easy.

If the image does not explain the meaning of the word, it's meaning can be read in Finland emojis website.
Sorry to hear that Kari! The wife and I will be praying for you. As for lounging around the house in your BVD's and enjoying a beer. Now that it's just the wife and me during the summer I do the same thing except it's ice tea. On extremely hot days and I've been working outside all day I have been known to have a cold beer or two (my limit). :)

Today, I put my 14.5 year old dog, Pippin, to sleep.

    Today [5]-2017_02_13_23_28_221.jpg

Yesterday, he lost the ability to stand up to eat, or do any other bodily functions. His strength had been failing for quite a while, but he fought on.

It was quick, and peaceful in the end. My thanks to the vet who expertly, and painlessly, laid him to rest.

Tomorrow I will put him in the ground.

So sad to hear that! That is the part of being a pet owner I hate. To me they are not just a animal, they are a family member.

The beginning of the month the wife and I had to replace our oil furnace. It was old and the heat exchanger was cracked in several places. The heating company talked us in to going with propane instead of staying with oil. Today I found out that the cost of using propane is going to be way more expensive than using oil ever was. I didn't know it but they refilled our two 120 gallon tanks on the 6th and they took 90 gallons. I got the bill in todays mail. I checked the gauge and the tanks are about 55% already. Our oil furnace never burnt anywhere near that. I'm going to call the company tomorrow and see if they need to make some adjustments.

Edit: Problem solved. I called the company and found out that when the installed the tanks they only delivered 90 gallons. I paid the bill early and thinking they had delivered 200 gallons I paid the full amount. They said I have a credit for 110 gallons they didn't deliver yet.
