    So you could take an external HDD and create a small partition for the rescue environment and a large partition for the images?

    I've never tried it Keith, but my guess is depends. If it is an eSATA drive, yes. I'm not sure about a USB external drive, but it is worth a try. I don't think the computer would treat an external USB hard drive any different than a USB Flash drive. But, I've never tried it.

    Keith, I'm not sure, but BIOS may only see the primary (sata 0) drive, I really don't know.
