Funny! It's going to be hotter tomorrow, just hoping it cools down enough to sleep tonight. At least the office has ACV :)

    Hi Steve.

Finally, Krebs on Security is back online. Guess he had the largest DDoS attack in internet history - about twice the largest attack ever recorded. geesh...

Can you imagine all the compromised computers who have no idea their machines are being used to send packets? Anything, and everything they do on those machines is the property of whoever directs these bots. It's one thing to be clueless about your own data, but now it is also causing issues for others. I believe ISPs should have to remove these machines from internet access, and contact the owners to tell them they will not be allowed access until such time as they are no longer culpable in these attacks.

I've actually seen ISPs contact customers about compromised systems - it doesn't happen often though. I agree, ISPs should be more active on this stuff, and take more responsibility. After all, they know exactly what their customers are doing, where they're going, etc.

Well, weekend's over. Off to be and the long work week. Only 65 hours last week :) Goodnight Simrick, and anyone still around. Take care. A Guy
