I have been using an Excel list on OneDrive with a shortcut to my desktop, that way I have access on all my Windows machines:

Just did a reset of W10, eugh now to installing everything from scratch, had at least 200+ applications installed.

    Fun times.

It can be a real pain. I use a lot of portable apps stored on a non OS partition to get around that.

My favorite type of programs, portables but still have to make links for them.

Start using Macrium Reflect, and make an base image of your system to an external disk with drivers installed and only the programs you know you will always keep, put it in the closet & forget it, then install the rest. Then make at least monthly backups on another disk.

Yes to Macrium. The best imaging program there is.

Huh, okay will try that. Thanks.

I was just disturbed by the fact that it said it would leave a list of all the programs I had installed that weren't in the base of W10 apps, well that list feels incomplete.

if you make full system disk image with mr and if you restore it, it will be identical, to the last bit as it was at the time you made the image. no less, no more.

Do you keep your 3rd party installers on another partition or disk?
I keep copies on a 2nd internal disk which has my Libraries, and a copy on OneDrive(in my case it's 2.5GB for just the installers and portables) in case of a Disk Apocolypse.
I try to keep them updated, but programs that auto update, of course have older installers, but most I need to go to either the developers site or Major Geeks to update.
