Wow Guess I am very lucky then, cause I have no problems with Action Center, ever......But been reading on the internet about all the folks who couldn't install KB3140743 Even being reported on MS site too.

I kind of like the new notification icon and have gotten in the habit of checking it periodically to see if I need and updates.
I like the idea of it, but on mine its just unreliable

I see the icon light up, but am busy so decide to check it later, later on the icon is not lit up and the action center is empty

Sorry for the delay, I was relaying some info. Someone in the AV section of the forum is having the same probs with Defender. Also they state that CCleaner doesn't have the options to untick the scan logs. Sounds like an MS thing at this point concerning the non stop requests to scan.

With every new Build that I have upgraded to I've had problems with things now working. So one of the first things I do after the upgrade is run a repair install from an ISO. After that I don't have any issues what so ever.

On my CCleaner Pro version those boxes are always greyed out, until you put a check mark in the box. Always been that way. Soon as I check the box , it turns to black.

Update: I can also turn those marked check boxes off with no problem, once their is a check mark in the box thou it should not be grayed out.

I've never seen that, I use the free version & they have always been accesable. Maybe they changed the program so you can only do it on the pro version now? Have a look here at what the OP is saying. Of course it's looking more like a MS prob if others are reporting Defender wants to scan your computer on a continuous basis.

Do you keep getting a notification about Defender needing to do a scan ?
I had it two days ago, then it went away. I thought it did the scan.
    Now its back again.
I've been getting that 10-12 times a day. Defender engine (not defs) got updated last week or so. Something screwy.
