Bought a 2TB Crucial NVMe and a Sabrent USB type C tool free enclosure so I could clone my 2TB internal NVMe in a matter of minutes rather than hours with the 2TB Hitachi enterprise grade platter.

Also bought some more tool crap since it's shade, absent of color day or Black Friday.

Turns out I was highly mistaken as I did not remember what the clone time was using the platter to receive the clone. It takes me about three (3) hours to clone to the NVMe from the internal NVMe via USB C. But now I believe in the past where I cloned to a platter from the NVMe it took some ten (10) or more hours. So the USB C to NVMe route is a lot faster, but still so long...

The only way I can make it quicker than that is to temporally install the secondary NVMe in a free m.2 slot for the clone and then remove. But that would be a major PITA... I'd have to disconnect all peripherals and place the desktop PC on my desk from where it sits next to me on a cabinet type thing. Then reconnect everything and clone. Then disconnect everything again and remove the secondary NVMe.

Not happening during this (middle?) Holocene Epoch...

Needed (wanted) a new mouse, and since I want just a few more milliseconds advantage in Call Of Duty I bought the ever popular gaming mouse known as the Logitech G502 SE. It's not bad, but sometimes the extra fluff of buttons can be a PITA. Took me at least a week to get used to it. They want same $80 for it, but I found it open box on eBay for the cost of a few packs of smokes.... LOL That's what I REALLY call "climate pledge friendly..."

Also was shopping around for another keyboard and found a SteelSeries "gamer" keyboard. They want a small fortune on Chinazon, so again, bought it open box on eBay. I don't remember the model, and I'm not logging into eBay right now, but when I get it I'll post its model number and take a photo. This looks like the model: Apex Pro | SteelSeries. Certainly didn't pay that much for it.

Also bought a new scanner. No, not a computer scanner, a radio scanner commonly refereed to as a "police scanner." I wanted to replace the one I have in my car now with one that has DMR and NXDN modulation capability... It's the Uniden BCD996P2.

Next on the docket may be a hunting rifle, an AR-15 and a Mossberg shotgun. Because this country is going to SHIT in quick order... Thank God I live in the land of the fee though. If I lived anywhere else I'd NEVER be able to own a gun or there were a tremendous amount of stupid stipulations.

Got the keyboard today and it's actually an Apex 3 membrane model. I like it!

It was new open box on eBay and I saved $19 smackers!

    Merry early Christmas to me.

It's a nice monitor but the damn thing isn't even UL rated.

Disconnect and reconnect will take 30minutes at most. 30 minutes to clone. You'll be done in about an hour with a bit of exercise.
