'A man walks into a chemist’s and says, "Can I have a bar of soap, please?" The chemist says, "Do you want it scented?" And the man says, "No, I’ll take it with me now".'

I just got a new app for spelling and grammar which may be of value to some of us. It certainly will be for me!

It's called Grammarly and works with Outlook and Word. Furthermore, it's free!

I downloaded and installed so I could check it out before I recommended it. So, here's what I think:

When I reply to a post and use the "quote" feature, Grammarly wants to correct the quote too. Kind of disconcerting, but I can ignore it; don't want to change the quote at all.

I sometimes type in colloquialisms, such as Ya git two fer one. Grammarly points those out too, but a simple press of the Esc button takes care of that. Once I've ignored the error, it seems to go away. Well, maybe not.

So far, it seems to work just fine for me.

You can get Grammarly from here: Grammarly for Windows | Grammarly
