I thought that sounded a lot of flour, I will modify your recipe to half the cup amounts and then see what they turn out like. Thanks for explaining what cat heads were, I have never heard of them. :)

Only in the south......
My Wife makes this, it's called Pizza Salad, it's tasty & since there's no mayo in it to go bad, it's great to bring to a pick-nick. It gets better in the fridge overnight because the flavoring ingredients soak in. You can add more/less of anything you want to make it taste to your preference.
1 box Barilla tricolor rotelle Pasta
2 Cups grated Parmesan (fresh is best)
1 small block of Gruyere cheese - grated (or substitute w/ a sharp white cheddar)
1 Can Large Black Olives (sliced)
1 pkg of sliced Pepperoni (cut into quarters)
1 sm Red Onion
2-3 Tomatoes - diced
1/2 head of Iceburg lettuce & 1/2 head of Red Romaine lettuce - torn into pieces (or your favorite lettuce)
Lowrey's Seasoning salt - to taste
Mix the next Ingredients in a Quart Jar w/lid
Pizza Seasoning or a spicy Italian herb mix w/red pepper flakes
1/2 C of Cider Vinegar (I mix some Balsamic Vinegar in)
1/2 Cup Canola Oil (I also mix in some lite Olive Oil)
Place first 6 ingredients in a large container, Toss gently to incorporate. Add lettuce & tomatoes & the oil & vinegar mixture evenly over the top & gently toss
