there a small lip on the sdcar i can usuall get a fingernail in and pull it out ,depends on the case fit in that area to though i think
If the display ribbon cable wasn't in the way I could likely pull it out with my finger tips. If I unplug the ribbon cable by accident it will be a real pain to reconnect it. I'd have to remove the Pi and custom cover I made to get at the display board end. I don't want to go there.

Yeah, I ended up buying a starter kit to get one. By itself it was out of stock almost instantly.

My 3b is in that custom PIBOW case connected to my Pi foundation display. The display board is all covered up and hidden away by bottom piece of a PIBOW case. Its the ribbon cable going to the DSI port that's the pain. At some point I'm going to order a longer cable. It's the same cable the Pi camera board uses. There are lots of longer cables for that out there.

I bet, if you took your dremel, and turned that flower petal opening into a nice round open hole, it would be a lot quieter. I cut the stock fan grills out on my PC cases so its a nice open hole. Then mount one of those chrome fan grills in its place. Much better air flow and a lot quieter. In your case you'd just have to watch where you out your fingers afterward. Finding a little chrome grill that small might be hard.

EDIT, you could likely make a grill from and old wire coat hanger though.

Have you got a Pi now? If not, and your just getting into it, a 2B or 3B would likely be a better option. If yes, welcome to the club.

If you look at the pictures in this post, The Raspberry Pi Thread [2] you'll see what I mean about the display cable being in the way of the SD card slot. especially the last picture at the bottom. And why it would be a pain to have to reconnect it to the display board if it gets disconnected by accident.
