    Personal Knowledge Base

I love how these forums are slowly becoming my personal knowledge base LOL

I updated a wordpress theme at work which in turn lost a piece of code i put in the header.php file to fix issues with Internet Explorer compatibility, i don't really know html or php so it took ages to find fix this issue.

Luckily i remembered i posted the solution over at SevenForums and voila - Wordpress IE 11 / Chrome & Firefox Compatibility - Page 2 - Windows 7 Help Forums

For IE11 that would I think render the page in IE9 compatibility mode.

I just use the single IE9 on our sites to ensure anything above IE9 renders the site in IE9 standards (IE7 on SF).

    Seems to...

I don't know what it means or how it works but its resolves the issue for me lol

I think it makes IE11 run in a different document mode, if i check the page in question it says document mode 9 but other sites say edge so it looks like it changes that.

    Cheers for the confirmation John...

I'm sure you read that code like a 2nd language, i did it a different way...

I copied/pasted what felt like war and peace from the internet into the header.php until one line of code worked LOL
