Folding At Home & Distributed Computing

Anyone participate? Thinking about volunteering my new PC during my away hours.

Does it noticeably shorten the lifespan of components, particularly graphics cards and overclocked CPUs?

The stress on the equipment, I really couldn't say, but obviously it does use your resources when you are not.

From what I've seen and read about overclocking one is always looking at a shortened life span for those things that can run faster but not really intended to. An issue with OC is if one is not actually at the computer any heat-caused problems may/can go unnoticed long enough to cause failures.
