I'm considering creating a graphic sig, and I was wondering whether I could get some advice on aesthetic ways to combine some of my interests or what websites to visit for such advice or at least search terms to use. DeviantArt is the only site I can
think of, but I always have technical issues there. I'd like to see what I can design myself, before asking a stranger for help. (If I create a sig with my current combination of talent, creativity, and technical knowledge, Ten Forums is going to ban ugly sigs and name the rule after me.:))

Well depending on which graphic suit you are using to produce your work there are always plenty of tutorials on YouTube you can use to expand your knowledge of them, if like me your using CorelDraw then I recommend having a look at this page https://www.youtube.com/user/poomanuk/videos

Hell I recommend having a look here any way just to get a basic feel for Sig making !

Also in my experience of deviant art if there is certain piece of work you wish to use in one of your own project, as long has you ask permission from there creator and get the go ahead there is normally no problem. At the end of the day (I know it gets dark lol) but seriously there’s always good old google for obtaining images, you can then vector and work from to make them your own .

For obtaining fonts I would defiantly recommend taking a look at http://www.dafont.com/ and http://www.1001freefonts.com/

Lastly there are no ugly Sigs on ten forums each is a reflection of the member and give us better insight to there personality and artistic ability's, IMO there is no such thing as bad art just bad eyes and none broaden horizons. Many of the members here are very talented if its making custom wallpaper to creating themes or Sig. I myself still aspire to be as good as some of them.

Signatures are so cool. I used to know of a site called cool text it would make just the basic signature with cool lettering and stuff and also you could make it as a button.

Just Googled this Logo and Graphics Generator - Cool Text gonna have a play now, as I'm still up drinking y not ty Atomic will save me pressing the bored button lol

@gregyurkon I forgot to ask what graphic suit you use Photoshop CorelDraw so on.
If you don't have one or the other this is the free option and as good if not better in certain aspects actually its fantastically good

I've been using mainly GIMP. I find it rather difficult to get used to, but it seems to be more capable than the other freeware I've found.
