Telemarketeers
Hi,
As all of us are, I am sick of receiving calls from telemarketers. How do avoid getting them? If there is a way at all.

I block them with my phone but they just use another phone number. There used to be a do not call list but I guess it does not work any more.

I think the Do Not Call list is now the Please Call list. I'm going to try this suggestion by @spunk. Phone scam - Windows 10 Forums

I downloaded the sound of a fax machine connecting when it gets a call. The machines that dial those will usually remove you from the list if they encounter any kinds of electronic connection noises. Also, the 3 tones, followed by "We're sorry, the number you have reached has been disconnected" recording works,
But the fax line sound is the better bet. I've used it & my telemarketing calls have slowed down a lot. I keep the player up & loaded with that sound on the PC & when I get one of those, it's ready to play.
BTW, we're on the no call list....a hell of a lot of good that's done
