DPC watchdog violation while watching videos on youtube ASUS K550V

    Hello,
it has been a while since my new notebook ASUS K550V keeps rebooting with a BSOD - dpc watchdog violation.
At the beginning I wasn't able to notice what caused it, but now I think it is a problem with video playback (maybe while on battery, even if I am not sure about this).
I tried many solutions like updating drivers, removing fast startup form windows settings, running virus scans, cleaning up the registry, uninstalling programs one by one. This problem also made me return my pc (at least with warranty) beacuse crazy rebooting killed my recovery partition. I thought after reinstalling windows and keeping drivers up to date the problem would fix. I'm attaching the zip file with dmp files. (they are a few beacuse I removed the old ones during an useless attempt to fix something with ccleaner).

    My configuration:
    ASUS K550V
    Win 10
    Nvidia Geforce 950M
    I7 6700 HQ
    8GB DDR4

    Thank you for your help

    Hi skynet2029,

    Welcome to the 10forums :)

Update the BIOS to version 302 and downgrade the Realtek wifi driver to version 2023.40 of ASUS.

Thank you for you fast response and for your welcome. I did what you suggested. In addiction i restored the fast startup option beacause i liked the feature.
I'll let you know if any BSOD will appear again.

Theres a tool which is used to bypass the activation of microsoft products. If you are sure you did not use a tool like this, maybe a friend or store tech did it without your knowledge.

    Rule 4
No piracy or discussion of piracy allowed at all. Such as software, music, videos and other intellectual property violations (e.g. downloading youtube videos locally etc) - it is forum policy that no help shall be given to people who knowingly steal software or services.

One of the main reasons for this is that the act of pirating the software will inevitably change the working of the software and make investigation and repair impossible. Please install a legitimate copy of the software and if you are still experiencing the issue we will be please to assist - No further assistance will be provided until we are satisfied that the software is genuine.
