SOmething was ****ed up with the resolution, so I could not see the right side of the screen. Sooo I am not sure how it actually went, other than it completed 16 passes in about 16 hours, and "max contigious errors": 1
    Does that say anything?

I see that i I had pressed the "y" after it was done it would have written a report in html, so I guess I will just have to do it again? :)

It means that either of the sticks or either of the used slots is faulty.

What you need to do is follow the rest of the memtest86+ tutorial

Naaah, you see this was the "new CDrom version of Memtest"(7.1), so I think it just meant how many allowed errors or something.
I am now running 4.3.7 which looks like the "classic".
So far it has done 6 passes in 24 hours with no errors. Will let it run for another 24 hours and we`ll see :)

You're not running the right memory test, the test I provided in my suggestion doesn't have version 4.3.7.

Wow! Two errors on test #8 every pass!! How come all the other tests are not able to pick up on this? Memtest86+ must really be superior
So now it`s about weeding out the faulty stick or slot I guess....

Other than bugs and algorithm differences I have no other answer.

Do you have any answer to why the errors stopped coming after I shuffled the sticks around? I was trying to find out which stick or slot was faulty, but I could not seem to provoke any errors. In a moment of frustration I put all the sticks back, but after 8 passes there is still no errors!

So it seems like the problem is fixed, but I have no idea how, and I have already bought a new set of memory sticks. Do you think it would be ethical to sell off the old ones? :)

I have no answer on that question.

You could, but if not necessary I personally wouldn't because in case new problems arise then you have RAM you know from that work properly and as such you can test if it is a RAM problem.
