    Blackscreen during sleep / restart

    Hi,

This issue has been bugging me since May, where my computer would randomly black screen when sleeping the computer or restarting the com, which I have to force restart to get it to reboot with a dump file produced.
Suspect it was OS at first but I reinstalled Windows 10 Enterprise from my institution with some school stuff such as Symantec Endpoint Protection and Check Point Identity Agent. But that did not solve the problem and I'm still getting BSODs but it's lesser as compared to before.
I tried running memtest but I got no errors and passed.
    Please advice. :)

    Hi fuzeee,

    Welcome to the 10forums :)

    Please try the following:
    1. Check in Windows Update, in the settings, for updates and check that there are no errors with installing them.
    2. Check the manufacturer for BIOS updates.
    3. Check Logitech for driver/software updates.
    4. Check if Symantec has software updates.

    Hi axe0,

    1. I just reformatted my PC, have no updates that are installed yet. But getting them installed now.
    2. Other manufacturers with the same laptop that I have has a lot of BIOS update but mine has none for now
    3. Logitech driver and software are all up to date.
    4. Symantec is controlled by my institution and I have no way to modify them or update them. They are locked with an admin password which I can't uninstall or disable

Just for clarification, with "I tried running memtest but I got no errors and passed." I assume you mean the built-in memtest?

    Hi axe0,
I ran memtest86+ using a bootable flash drive.

How many passes did it reach? 'It passed' isn't really correct, because you can have 100+ passes in MemTest86+ and still failing memory (takes an extreme long time though to reach it)

    Hi axe0,
I know recommended passes for memtest86+ is 8 passes, I left it overnight and the time I woke up I needed to use my PC so I stopped it at around 6 passes.
Sorry for the late reply, have been busy recently.

No worries, I'm very busy myself with a lot of things.

Try to find the right period of time to run MemTetst86+ for 8+ passes please.
