    Random Reboots - BugcheckCode 340

    Hello,

    Been finding computer had rebooted while I am away, but had thought it were updates. Found that instead there are mini dump files with a 340 BugcheckCode. It has been occurring randomly since 8/3/16, which shortly after I upgraded to the Anniversary Edition.

    Thanks,

    Josh

    Hello Liegrean and welcome to the TenForums :)

    The recent crash dumps are all related to a Bugcheck 154 code:
    Code:
    BugCheck 154, {ffffd30c31342000, ffff9b8137d4bf70, 2, 0}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify checksum for win32k.sys
    *** ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols for win32k.sys -
    Probably caused by : hardware_disk
    This is an unusual code and although it says a probable cause is the hardware disk I am not sure how reliable this. There was a recent update which I can see you have received that has fixed a few problems with the Anniversary Edition. See if this update has improved the situation for you and post back if you get any further BSOD incidents.

    Thank you. I will post if it occurs again, as the update you are referring to did install just before I created the upload. You reminded me that I did upgrade to a new SSD possible around the same time. I will see if there is a drive test with the manufacturer.

    Thanks again.

    The reboot occurred again with minidump, which I have attached. I did a disk check of my SSD and there was an issue, but it was fixed. I checked the disk again after the reboot, but the disk was fine. My drivers appear to be up-to-date. I can give PNY a call tomorrow and see if they have a tool to check the disk since I do not see one on their site.

    Thanks,

    Josh

    It is still reporting the same error, let me know if you get anywhere with a diagnostic of your SSD.
