BSOD Freeze + Restart (ntoskrnl.exe & hal.dll)
Started to get crashes at some point eariler this year ever since upgrading to Windows 10. Recent days show increased frequency of these crashes. I've looked up the internet based on the issues I've faced and I'm suspecting the graphic drivers for my case.
It happens more frequently during games but can even happen while no programs are on. It gets pretty annoying and shows up in three ways: monitor going black and BSOD after a few seconds (only in this situation, dump files are created); freezes indefinitely, forcing a manual restart; monitor going black and PC immediately restarting on its own (no dump files).
I've tried the following:
Memtest - 8 passes with no errors
Seatools - All tests with no problems
DDU - Reinstalled Nvidia drivers to a previous known stable version, but crashes still happen
Updated BIOS - Ever since updating, the Nvidia driver would sometimes crash and recover instead, but only occasionally (the freeze/blackout + restart still remains a problem)
FurMark - Nvidia driver crashes after a minute of testing with OpenGL error
I would like to solve this issue but I'm not sure on what action to take next. Thanks for reading my post.
