    Various Event Viewer Errors

    Hi

    I have 3 event viewer errors which I'd like to see if we can resolve between us. I like to have a clean system if at all possible.

    1. Error 1000

    Faulting application name: wmiprvse.exe, version: 10.0.14393.0, time stamp: 0x57899ab2Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.14393.0, time stamp: 0x578997b2
    Exception code: 0xc0000374
    Fault offset: 0x00000000000f73e3
    Faulting process ID: 0xeb0
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d1f096cdba5b25
    Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
    Report ID: 3e767754-1204-4b4a-8246-b1341ce32183
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:
    I know that this is a software fault but there isn't much information on the internet about it that seems relevant to me.

    2. Error 16

    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {8D8F4F83-3594-4F07-8369-FC3C3CAE4919}
    and APPID
    {F72671A9-012C-4725-9D2F-2A4D32D65169}
    to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
    I have tried the various suggestions relating to this which usually involve editing the registry to give user accounts permissions relating to the CLSID keys.

    3. Warning Event 219

    The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_Generic-&Prod_SD#MMC&Rev_1.00#20060413092100000&2#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}.
    This appears to relate to my internal multi card reader. This appears three times for each of the card slots.

    Any help is appreciated.

    HI swarfega,

    Here's a link to a post where item #2 was fixed:

    Local Activation Permission

    I also have a similar item #3 and I know for sure it is a driver issue with my old USB3 enclosure. Unfortunately, the vendor has no intention of addressing that issue (like they did in Win 8.1). The good news is it still works!

    So, maybe you can fix that item #2. For the record, I am not going to touch it. I know what it is and it is not causing any issues for me.

    Good luck!

    hmm thanks, I'll try removing those 2 keys. I'm not too worried about the usb entries though it would be nice to fix them.

    An updated driver should do it (if available).

    Good luck!

    I had a new event appear after I returned from my nap. The machine had lost connection and this error appeared, :

    Event ID 3

    Session "EventLog-AirSpaceChannel" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188
    I've followed the guide here and we'll see if it appears again.
