    Multiple BSODs

For the past month I have had multiple BSODs. They generally happen during the first 15 mins of a game. Things I have done to try and remedy the situation.

    • tested my ram with memtest and it comes out clean.
    • Cleaned out PC
    • reinstalled GPU drivers
    • tried beta GPU drivers
    • updated BIOS
    • stressed GPU testing for over an hour
    • stressed CPU for more than a couple of hours
    • disabled windows defender
    • scanned for malware using malware bytes
    • installed Avira

After my memtest run the PC ran fine for a few days and then started to BSOD. I am not sure if its the RAM , PSU or GPU if its even hardware.

Any help will really be appreciated here.

    Thanks

    Most recent dump says:
    Code:
    ffffd000`26d978f0 fffff801`99811480Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\avipbb.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for avipbb.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for avipbb.sys
     avipbb+0x21480
avipbb.sys belongs to Avira Antivirus. Please uninstall Avira and use the built-in Windows Defender for now until this problem is resolved. After that you can stay with Windows Defender (it's what I use) or install a different AV program.

Thank you so much for the reply. I actually only installed Avira after the fact and however I have removed it. WHen it crashes again , I will add new dumps.

    Thanks.

The latest dump indicates a problem with

    Code:
    BugCheck 1E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff801337d6ffa, 0, ffffffffffffffff}
    Probably caused by : partmgr.sys ( partmgr!PartitionIo+1c6 )
It's a Microsoft program, part of the OS so unlikely to be the cause of the problem.

Time to test your RAM and hard drive. I know you said you tested RAM but how long did you let it run (how many passes)?
You specs say you have 8GB Crucial ram, but the dump indicates 4 8GB DIMMs for a total of 32GB.

Please fill out your System Specs more fully and with correct info.
See here: System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums

    Test RAM & Hard Drive:

    RAM:

Download Memtest86+ (you want the 2nd one Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)). Unzip it then create a CD from the iso file using your CD burning software. There is a good freeware burner called ImgBurn which will do this easily.

DO NOT burn the .iso file directly to CD. It must be used as input to a program that knows what to do with it, like the one I mentioned above.

You can do this on any computer that has a working CD Burner.

You can also use a Flash drive instead of a CD.

Download - Auto-installer for USB Key (Win 9x/2k/xp/7) *NEW!*.
Unzip and run Memtest86+ USB Installer.exe.
It will format the flash drive if you tell it to. I used a small, 16MB flash drive and it had 8.5GB left when done.

Boot the CD or Flash drive and run Memtest86+ for 8 complete passes unless it shows errors sooner than that. An overnight run is a good way to do this.

You can stop the test after you see the first error appearing
Follow this tutorial to see how you can find out what exactly is causing the errors.

    Hard Drive:

Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

Just run the complete test, 8 passes if possible. Take a picture with a digital camera if error or it completes all passes and post here please.
