    High CPU usage & DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

    Hello!
I am having really nasty problem with my Windows 10 install. I recently bought and build new setup, installed Windows 10, and everything worked just fin... until it stopped. After some time I noticed I have high CPU consumption by ntoskrn.exe. I googled it and found that I probably need to update my GPU drivers - but AMD does not support older architecture, and I already have newest available drivers installed (15.7.1). So I updated all other divers for motherboard etc. It did not help.
The strange thing is that sometimes when I log in it works just fin, and another time CPU usage of ntoskrn.exe ramps up as soon as I log in. Sometimes it starts after waking from sleep or hibernation.
    Few other things:
    • when this happens I cannot install or uninstall any drivers, I cannot even go to drivers details tab in Device manager (it stucks).
    • I cannot run several programs like SpeedFan - I think because they need elevated permissions
    • sometimes it just BSODs - "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE"
    • I cannot put it to sleep, turn of, hibernate - simply I cannot sjut it down properly. When I try to it "hangs" on "Shutting down" and after few minutes turns off. After powering it on again I clearly see that its a fresh boot, not waking form hibernation. I saw few times same BSOD as above - other times my screen just turns off so I cannot confirm if this happens every time, bu I assume it does.

I really need some help, because I'm out of my mind right now. It is very frustrating and I do not have any idea what causes it. I assume it is some driver failure, but which?

    Thank you in advance.

Please check if your activation is proper, do you see a watermark on your desktop like below picture?
    Code:
      <LicensingStatus>SL_LICENSING_STATUS_UNLICENSED</LicensingStatus>

Also - I forgot to point that I needed to run DM Log Collector in Safe Mode because it does not finish whatever it is doing normally. I also tried to remove my video card and all of its divers using Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode, relying on CPU built in equivalent - it did not helped.
What is funny, yesterday I colud not even log in without seeing high CPU usage of the process, today it is working just fin right now...

How long did you wait for it to finish? The msinfo32.nfo file is quite large and takes time to complete.

    Like half an hour?
in safe mode it finishes in ~1 minute.
But right now, since it is working normally in regular boot I ran DM Log Collector again.
    Results in attachment.

The license status is now fine as you said :)

Please remove ASUS software while troubleshooting.

I uninstalled Asus AI software, but i googled for the ICCWDT.sys and it seems to either be a part of the said software or Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, which I do not have or use.
Everything is working OK right now, I will update the thread if the problem returns.

Thank you for your help and time - I really appreciate it! :)
