Yeah I feel lucky Arc. Appreciate all your help. Just a quick note, there hasn't been a nvidia driver update from Toshiba for this laptop since December so I guess it is safe to assume there won't be anymore huh? This is a fairly new laptop so I thought it was surprising that since late December there has been no new Toshiba nvidia driver updates. I have also read that there are tons of issues with laptops trying to play games compared to desktops - tons. Your articles are so telling.

Now though I am having some stuttering issues watching youtube videos in 1080p and 4k using chrome. That never happened before. I wonder if the older nvidia driver might be a cause. if I use Edge or IE there are no issues. I tried disabling flash, disabling hardware acceleration, etc... still stuttery. I know this isn't the right thread for this but thought maybe it might be related to this by the driver thing.

    Nvidia driver version

Well guys I wanted to give everyone an update, and it's a GOOD UPDATE.

As you all know, nothing was working and I was at my wits end. No matter what I tried, as soon as I loaded a game and quit my computer eventually froze and went to the BSOD within minutes. I was this close to trying to get store credit at least and get a new laptop. Arc mentioned that these NVidia cards are more trouble than they are worth and I couldn't agree more. My last laptop I bought in 2011 and it lasted 4 years. It only had intel hd graphics but I never used it for games and it worked fine.

So I saw on NVidia's web page that they had a new update. I tried it but still the same BSOD's.

About a week ago I decided to scroll down Toshiba's driver updates and I noticed back in December there were 2 NVidia driver updates for my laptop. I had the newest one installed when the BSOD's started happening so I thought what the heck, let me install the 1st December NVidia driver update. AND VOILA, IT WORKED!!!

So I have had no problems at all since I installed my Toshiba NVidia driver update and I am so pleased. Everything seems to be working fine, I can play many games and no crashes and no BSOD'S(knock on wood). It's weird how it's an older update from Toshiba that fixed it but whatever works right??

I'm gonna keep this driver until Toshiba comes out with a brand new NVidia driver update and even then I might be scared to try it lol.

Thanks to Arc, Axe0, Boris who tried to help me through this mess and ironically Axe0 was initially right about using my manufacturers drivers instead of from the NVidia website.
Hi Mike, what version of that driver you use? Its same problem with me. Please help..

    Hi adnansukmana,

    Welcome to the 10forums :)

Ultimately @Mikey5Aces installed the drivers that his laptop manufacturer provided which solved the problem :)

Please read my reply in your thread.
