    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (Netio.SYS)

    Hi,
I've recently (last Tuesday) bought a new laptop and it came with windows 10 preinstalled. Unfortunately I've experienced several BSOD's since then all showing the message in the title of this thread. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my other problem being huge ping spikes while playing MMORPG's. Those lag spikes happen every few seconds and are independent of the internet connection I'm using. I Tried different wifi-networks and a wired connection. I've also disabled windows update (after doing all updates first) by disabling the function of using my computer as a remote windows update server and setting my wifi as a metered connection (eventhough it isn't). It all didn't help. I've deactivated location services too and other services which could influence the ping rate. Still my ping is constantly spiking between 15ms and 1500ms in games, while being constantly around 14ms on speedtest sites like Ookla. I've also found that my router uses the older Ipv4 settings so I disabled the ipv6 in the windows registry yet that didn't change anything and the BSOD just recently happened again.
I've also checked many possible solutions to the lag spikes on different forums where users reported the very same problem after for instance updating their OS from windows 8 to 10. Unfortunately none of these have had any visible effects.
Also in my home network other computers do not experience any kind of lags while playing the same games, so the problem must be my laptop and some faulty driver or hardware...
Unfortunately I'm at the end of my rope. Could anyone help me please?

    Best regards
    Uranos

Update: I found out, that all of those issues were caused by a preinstalled programm from Asus: RoG GamersFirst III. Simply disabling it caused all lag spikes to disappear. Whether the BSOD will be gone too, remains to be tested. Apparently the GamersFirst program is causing problems for about one year now for a large number of users without any fix being issued by Asus (on both windows 8 and 10). I'll keep this post open and mark it as solved a few days later should no more BSOD be appearing in the meantime. I hope this helps someone else with the same issue...
