Frequent and random BSODs incl: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and more
Hi, I upgraded my Windows 7 desktop to Win 10 (Home) version earlier this month - with no major glitches. Suddenly, after a recent Windows update, I started getting random BSODs (sometimes shortly after logging in and some during the login process):
APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (this is the most frequent error)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
I noticed that the WU had updated my display adapter (AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5670) to a current driver version - which I believe gave me BSOD probs in Win 7. Back then, I rolled back the driver to one from Nov 20, 2014, and my PC was stable for months. So, upon noticing the new display driver installed after the Win 10 WU, I tried to roll it back again - but BSODs continue.
I also noted that the last WU doesn't like my Canon ImageClass MF4350d printer and replaced my current Canon printer with a generic Windows laserprinter model - but, the printer seems to work so I haven't tried to change it back.
I know that I have probably not updated all my drivers to the current version (I tried but WU always says they are current even though several are from 2006 and I really don't know which ones are important).
My system is a Dell Studio XPS 9100, i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80 Ghz, 8 MB RAM DDR 3
Thanks for your help.
