BSOD installing win 10 pro Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.3)

    BSOD installing win 10 pro Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.3)


    I have tried installing through WINDOWS update and also through media creator. Both times I get the error System thread exception not handled bdfwfpf.sys

    Currently running Win 10 build 10240

    Now Windows update is saying there are no available updates. Seems strange since the upgrade it recomended previously failed.

    please advise.

    We couldn't install Windows 10
    0xC1900101 - 0x4000D


    The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during the MIGRATE_DATA operation

    Caused by bitdefender. Simply turning it off permanently did not do the trick. Once I completely uninstalled it, the update went through fine.
