What is the actual Dell Model number? There are many Dell Inspiron models, both laptop and desktop.

Also specs including RAM and CPU.

    Hi happyhiker,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

Please make sure your BIOS is loaded for optimal settings, if needed tweak a little for normal functionality. The 0x133(DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION) you get is mostly caused by BIOS problems.

This is the Nvida Sata driver, please check for updates using the link below
    Driver Reference Table - nvstor.sys
    Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvstor.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvstor.sys

Please also make sure the cables are properly connected, if necessary reseat everything but make sure it is done properly.

Please fill in your system specs
Please follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely including PSU and cooling system.
How to fill in your system specs:

Thanks I have updated specs a bit. I will complete using tutorial but System BSOD after posting message and now won't boot up :-( I May have to restore.

I didn't understand the make sure bios is loaded bit. How do I do that, doesn't it just load on power up ?
I will reset all cables and try to fix OS and then fill in specs, but i assume if bios restored system will just do the same thing?

Boot in your BIOS and search for an option called 'load optimal settings'

so stilling getting bsod- watchdog violation even during win10 setup now. Gone into bios setup I can see boot priority settings, power management etc, but nothing to do with optimal settings. Where is it normally ? Am I bound to have one? CPU management just has AMD quite mode.

Can it be a hardware issue ? As there is no software now...

I can't tell where it normally is, for every desktop motherboard manufacturer it is different and I have a laptop what means that my BIOS options are very limited.

Have you by the way tried to update the Nvidia sata driver?

Thanks for the replies, i can t boot to windows so i can't update sata driver. But as i can't even get passed boot up is it even using the sata driver yet ( I dont really understand how the drivers load for HDD I assume the bios knows how to do the i/o?)
-Sata is the HDD right ? Don't know why nVidia have a driver for it ?

so currently i've tried a reset pc and it wouldn't work, so i've totally reinstalled windows but got a watchdog violation on bootup after install. So with no drivers beyond win10 clean install i still get watchdog..

In the bios I have no optimal settings. I do have a restore defaults instead of save. But I don't think I ever changed the defaults. BIOS says Pheonix AwardBIOS CMOS setup - so i assume i'm in the right place. Please help as I just have a big brick at the moment.
