    Well it's been already a couple of days with absolutely no freeze, I'm pretty tempted to mark this thread as solved, but I wouldn't know what exactly solved my problems

    With everything we've tried and their results, I would think Windows 10 10586.

    BUT, it could also be that everything has helped but the update just helped with fixing the other cause(s).
    A bluescreen could have 1, 10, 20, 40 etc. causes, we can't tell unfortunately.

    Can I set my startup programs again? (like Steam, Unified Remote, etc)

    Yes, but it is not recommended as that could cause problems.

    How is it different to my computer if it starts on it's own at startup or if I start it shortly after startup?

    Those programs are taken with the boot process, the BIOS checks if everything is alright. The BIOS does this with the Power On Self Test (POST) software.
    I can't remember it exactly, but at least

    • hardware, intern, extern and peripherals
    • startup items


    if anything causes a problem you would have boot problems.
    Startup items also delays the boot process.
