New HP Envy X360 Laptop now BSOD on wakeup

I've had this machine since Oct 5. On Oct 14 it started BSOD, particularly on wake up. Event log shows about 5 reboots. I've turned off the sleep while on AC, told it not to put the HD to sleep, and waiting to see if that fixes it. Any help would be appreciated. I can get a full refund or exchange on this box through Monday.
    Thanks,
    James

    Hi JamesInUtah,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

Please update Malwarebytes as it has an old driver.
If updating Malwarebytes doesn't help I recommend to return the laptop.
There is a chance that the crashes are caused by drivers, but the chance is greater that there is a hardware defect.

I removed Malwarebytes. I thought it might be a confict with Defender. Since then, I have only had one crash. It was as the computer woke up from sleep. I now have it set to not go to sleep while on AC, not to turn off USB ports, and not to turn off the hard drive. It's been running like that since this morning, and if I get another crash before monday then I will try to go for the exchange. The problem seem to start right after I installed an older java based program. The machine ran for about 10 days with no crashes and now 6 in the last 3 days. This is my wife's laptop, and she just into troubleshooting problems, so I have to clear this up or it has to go back.
    Thanks for the reply.

Just to follow up, after telling the laptop not to go to sleep while on AC, I told the HDD to turn off after 30 minutes, but leave the USB ports on. I removed Malwarebytes, although I don't know if that was the issue. I have not had a BSOD in 5 days, so I think the problem is solved. I have even put the laptop in sleep mode 4 or 5 times since then, and did not have a crash on wake up. Who knows. So far, so good.....
