    BSOD whenever it decides to.

Every once in a while I get that BSOD for no apparent reason. Well--I'm sure there's a reason but I have no idea what it is. I read your instructions and have attempted to upload the file. But a message said it was an invalid file. The name of the file is dm_log_collector.exe. I thought I followed the instructions, but could have done something wrong.
After I posted this I realized that I tried to upload the wrong file. So I found the zip file and I believe I uploaded it but I don't see it here. Sorry for all the confusion. Will you straighten me out?

Did I do the right thing here? After I uploaded the file, if click on it, I can see just about all of the files in my documents.

Yes, you did it right :)

    Just in case
If you are using a program like Ccleaner please stop using it while troubleshooting.
This because programs like Ccleaner remove dump files that are needed to troubleshoot.
Or configure Ccleaner to not remove dump files:
Unfortunately, I have to wait a couple of hours to analyse crashes properly, due to internet problems.

The error 0xef (CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED) means a process died in this case.
Looking at the event logs, there were some windows processes that stopped responding or did not do what they were required to do.

    Please try following:
    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
    • When it finished reboot your system
    • Open again an admin command prompt
    • Enter sfc/scannow again

If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

Thank you very much. I'll try all of this later this afternoon as I have an appointment for physical therapy in a short while.

I followed your instructions and on the second scan it did say,"Windows Resource did not find any integrity violation." Does this tell me that the first scan fixed the problem if there was one? I now have CCleaner set so it does not delete the log file in Windows/System32/wbem/logs. I do appreciate the time you spent on this. If we lived closer together, I would buy you a glass of beer or whatever beverage you like to drink.

The first scan checked the files and the reboot helped fixing the problems.

Let me know if/when you get another BSOD, if you do please use the tool again and upload the zip file.

It's happening again and I hope I'm doing this right. I ran sfc/scannow and got a message that there are some corrupt files but unable to repair them. It gave me a log file which I can send to you. But I must be doing something wrong because above there is a little icon that says attach video or attach image but nothing for attach file. So I'm no doubt doing something wrong. Would you straighten me out? Thank you
