actually I had a activated win 8.1 pro and used the internet to update the pc and it was done on the first time . I have a usb boot which I got from my laptop since I had problmes updating that but ultimately I didn't use to upgrade from the usb and did it from the windows upgrade. Now when I use this usb to do an inplace upgrade it asks me for a product key but I only have a windows 8 key . What do I do or where shall I get the install.esd if I cant use the usb. Will it be on my PC . Really confused now
If you're trying to use the USB on your pc, you can skip the license part.
It should recognize the license automatically.
