    W10 Restarting multiple times a day; Kernel-Power 41

I get multiple computer restarts during the day. The most common error I see in the event viewer is Kernel-Power 41. I do not get a BSOD - only restart. Unfortunately I do not have more info that this as it is sporadic and occurs often. Let me know what else could be helpful and thank you in advance

    Hello @LeoBloom,

Have you run sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth [ While connected to the Internet ]?

    Code:

    sfc /scannow
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    sfc /scannow

    I hope this helps.

    You are VERY welcome.

BTW, running sfc /scannow TWICE as shown above was deliberate.

Sorry for delay - my computer is still crashing and I just haven't had much time this week to address

I did run sfc /scannow twice as you suggest

The latest crash was today between 9:15 and 9:20A EST - log collector log attached - thanks

The essential thing here is to separate possible hardware from software causes before rushing in and trying to 'fix' the O/S.

Try e.g. booting your PC from a live boot disk or temporarily replacing the system disk with a spare and clean installing Win 10.= on that. If your PC still crashes in either case you can be pretty sure the cause is hardware.

I'm assuming you're not overclocking, haven't changed RAM recently and the PC is not overheating and you've checked for that.

If if runs stably in either of those two cases you can run RAM, disk and stress tests.

I will try a clean W10 boot and report back

    Thank you for your reply.

A clean boot is almost certainly not relevant here, and not what I suggested. It does not give you a situation where your PC is running independently of your installed O/S.

Your objective is to boot WITHOUT using your installed O/S.

Do you know what a live boot disk is? (Google will help you..).

I may have used the wrong terminology. I am installing W10 on a different disk and will be booting off that (so that we take my current W10 install out of the equation). Is that correct?
