    When was the last time your sister's laptop worked without any problems?

    Last night. Nobody did touch it, till today I went to power it on. Things were OK before that.I suspect the problem is a tiny German Cockroach that has been there (it came out when I was disassembling the HDD). I can't determine just by eye-checking if the hardware is damaged.

    But the main problem is that the boot menu (BIOS settings) doesn't work!
    Did you see the manufacturer's logo before the BSOD appeared?

    I think you were removing rather than disassembling it.

    @Matthew Wai

    1- No (manufacturer's logo)! Just a black screen then for 2-3 seconds that BSOD appears and disappears, black screen till (fan is on, HDD led is working) till I shut it down.

    2- I did remove the HDD. I did test it, and I did install it again.

    Bad video adapter, bad MB, bad memory. Try to find a bootable media thumb drive like I suggested earlier. At this point, other than your resident German roach, it's all guessing.

    Windows 10 bootable thumb drive didn't work. BIOS setting is faded, and I gave it up.

    The laptop owner came here (my parent's home), after about 30 seconds the conclusion was that I would borrow money (from my mother) to buy a new one for her!

    SOLVED! BTW, I am trying to find malfunctioning hardware. My guess is discrete GPU. I want to know what caused it to make me a debtor! Fortunately, the HDD was OK, otherwise, I wouldn't be here!

    Many thanks to all of you that dedicated your time to my problem. Unknown BSOD!-ges_bow.gif
