    Multiple BSOD codes in a week; after Win10 upgrade

    Hi,

    I have recently upgraded from Win8 to Win10 (clean install, kept only the non-system data partition). While running Win8 it may have crashed once or twice in the past year, but nothing major. Since installing Win10 about a week ago, I've had like 6 BSOD's of varying error codes,

    What's weird is that Speccy (and other temperature reporting programs) reports my CPU temperatures really low, and it jumps around a lot (one second it's 30, then 25, 22, 18...) while my room is at a temperature of 28°C. At the same time, the BIOS reports CPU temperatures around 50-55°C, and the rest of the components hover steadily around 30°C.

    I've never overclocked, BIOS says the CPU is not unlocked (and I never messed around with the CPU clocks to begin with), I have the latest GPU drivers (353.62).

    I have done a lot of digging around and WinDbg gives me these errors:

    BugCheck 124, {0, ffffe00057321028, b0800000, 60151}

    Probably caused by : AuthenticAMD

    -----

    BugCheck 1000007E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff8015d657b93, ffffd001ba7f27e8, ffffd001ba7f2000}

    Probably caused by : dxgmms2.sys ( dxgmms2! ?? ::NNGAKEGL::`string'+1b83 )

    -----

    BugCheck 50, {fffff80000000018, 0, fffff801a25124a2, 2}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for cpuz138_x64.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for cpuz138_x64.sys

    Could not read faulting driver name
    Probably caused by : cpuz138_x64.sys ( cpuz138_x64+24a2 )

    The PC is not even 2 years old, I really don't want it to be the CPU :( The PSU should be fine (it's a 400W and the max calculated requirement for my setup is around 330W).

    I'm pretty sure the PC crashed more times than there are the minidumps, but the 4 that were written are in the attachments.

    Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

    Hi davefin,

    I'm very sorry for the delay, there aren't many people in this section.
    Are you still requiring help?
    If so, please use the tool again and upload a new zip file.

    Please fill in your system specs
    Please go to this site and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely.
    How to fill in your system specs:

    Hi, I thought my system specs were filled in?
    Yeah, I still need help, though the crashes have slowed down a lot, maybe it was just the extreme temperatures back then (which is weird, because all the temperature readings were a-ok)

    My system died on me last week (software issue, not hardware) so I can't do another zip as of now (waiting for a new system), can you look at the original zip or am I out of luck?

    Thanks
    Davefin

    Hi davefin,

    Your system specs are indeed filled in, but not for a 100% completely.

    Yes I can, do you have a recovery USB?

    I see you have used KMSpico, a program to activate windows without a license.
    I recommend you to clean install windows and activate using a valid license.

    KMSpico heavily modifies code in windows that causes problems. For analysts it is really hard to find the causes because of these modified codes and for this reason I won't analyse the dump files.

    Alright, that's actually already happened.. Well, system refused to boot, had to erase C. I'll be buying a new HDD and a license - I'll post here again when that is done (or when I get another BSOD, so I'm not wasting your time). Should I then update this thread or create another one?

    Thanks for the help
    davefin

    p.s I updated my specs to the highest detail i could, hope they're satisfactory now

    I do, but I don't have a license yet, plus I wanna set up the new system with the new HDD already installed, so I can install all my stuff there etc.

    Thanks for being determined to help me, I'll report back in when my new system inevitably crashes on me.

    If I remember it correct, you can install windows and activate later, there is some time to enter a license before problems with the license comes.
