    Same error different reason

I upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1... now the event viewer says that my shared drives were not migrated... not sure what that means but the problem I have is, I use my wdtvlive media box to handle all my shared external drives my libraries are on. this has always worked through win 8.1... now i cannot get any of my shares through and the wdtvlive sees nothing. no windows shares... I have redone the shares a dozen times an d no luck. all the devices and computer know there is a device connected but they don't seem to talk and display my shares anymore, very frustrated. I need help getting this simple setup to work again. Yes i reset the wdtvlive as well...

Same problem here since Windows 8... Searching whole day, can't find any solution to this. It would be very nice if somebody could post a solution here, if any exists.

I would put some dll files temporarily in a folder and try running the tool again.
In the desktop folder you might also find the zip file if not on the desktop directly, have you checked the desktop folder?

Hey I've got great news! The folders which I had on my desktop are back! I did what you say and moved everything into a new folder and as you can see it shows the normal icon. It seems that everything on my desktop was duplicated. I also found the zip folder. I want to know what happened and if there's something that I can do prevent it.
