I have a similar problem on my work Laptop in which I use Outlook 2013 and since upgrading to Windows 10 I am not getting any email notifications nor sound.

Come on Microsoft, please sort this very basic problem out!
    Hi c2lass,

I noticed this is your first post. WELCOME TO TENFORUMS.
Tenforums is in no way part of Microsoft and in my opinion you will get better advice here than at Microsoft.

If you really want to try and communicate directly with Microsoft click on my link below.
When it takes you to Microsoft click on "PARTICIPATE" near the top left of the webpage.
There are currently 50 pages of complaints (20 per page) about the Windows 10 Mail App so Microsoft is very aware of the problem.

    Hello Everyone,

Today 10/1/2015 another Cumulative Update for Windows 10 was released. If you have your update settings on automatic download all you will need to do is a restart.

Checking online I could not find any info about this update KB 3093266.
I did find some notices that the restart failed to install the update (no solution to this problem).

On my computer it installed fine and I did notice the Mail App format changed. When I open my Mail App it looks very different from yesterday.
All my email accounts (3) are now listed on the far left side.
Before I only had one account displayed on the left side and had to click on "accounts" above that one account to switch between accounts. (I could post an image of the new format but can't post an image of the old format).

My mail app notifications seem better than ever (yeah I know we have all thought or posted that one before). Sounds & banners are fine

Here is one VERY DIFFERENT new thing with my Mail App.
My "live tile" displays for over 2 hours if I DO NOT OPEN my Mail App or action center.
Live tile display time could be much longer than 2 hours, I'm trying to determine how long right now.

Before today the live tile displayed for only 10 minutes maximum.

I would like to hear from anyone else if they have these same results.

Same for me. I think..... I jinxed myself every time I post something positive about my Mail App.

Did you notice any change in the Mail App display or image? (format)

Have you run Anti Malware to see if you have caught a bug
Mine is still ok and nothing different from yesterday only that update going in

I have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro (MBAM lifetime license) it is set to scan daily. No malware found in over a year. I do not access risky sites. I have had Mail App (Microsofts default app) problems since upgrading to Windows 10 on July 29, 2015.

Haven't you heard about the massive amount of complaints?

If you click on the link below it will take you to Microsoft's Community Forum where there are 50 pages of 20 complaints per page almost all on the Windows 10 Mail App. There would be more than that but Microsoft only posts the latest 1000 complaints, older complaints are deleted.

The mail app looks very nice now, can easily see which account new mails are in, there was an update to the app on Wed, changed the look

just got back from lunch and notifications dead again, although once I checked mail it started working again (just had 2 while typing this post)

What I don't understand, is when this issue appears it wipes out any mail notifications that are still in the action centre, I have 2 mail ones in there now and if I leave my pc for a couple of hours they will just disappear, where other notifications stay until I do something with them

going to check event viewer again, just in case there is anything from the last few hours that show if something has crashed, but I doubt it

I had some very long "live tile" displays yesterday.
I am also getting notifications now (after chacking email) but had 3 that did not notify and were in the app the first time I opened it this morning.
