I am just not convinced Windows 10 is worth it. Read a lot of PRIVACY concerns about WIN 10.
The Mail App is by far one of WIN 10's biggest failures.
    I have a browser open to Outlook.com

This is the "future" of Operating Systems?
Hang in their DavidG from what I am hearing we should have a SP1 released around OCT. maybe sooner. and I was not actually thinking of you 2 doing a Clean install, I was thinking of him doing a Windows reset choosing the keep my files option. You don't have to keep a browser open to keep track of your mail in outlook. their is other ways. I don't think the Privacy issue should worry you too much, BUT I DO understand your feelings about that. Maybe its just the way things are going, but I would like to think that their are ways WE can still control some of our privacy concerns going ahead. I went from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro, on a 2009 computer HP and had lots of things that needed to be fixed and tweaked in the 1st 10 days after upgrading to 10, have put many, many hours on the computer with Microsoft answerdesk techs both on my computer and on phone, trying to fix some of the issues I had after upgrading to 10. BUT I still have NEVER did a Clean Install, and never will unless I see no other choice. Even thou lots of people have written its the best way to run Windows 10. My Mail appointment has never given me any problems. Still works if I wanted to use it. I never have lost any program or features installed from Windows 10 upgrade, like you have mentioned. but I also never like I said have done a clean install either, I have done a reset option, with keeping my files and folders option once. I have turned a lot of services off, turned a lot of things related to privacy off also. cleaned up my registry many times, as I have been going into my registry to remove or edit things in their for years, so not afraid to do so in Windows 10. Just don't give up yet DavidG Things WILL get better. I honesty believe that. Microsoft is still offering FREE support for any Windows 10 problems, if you wanted to go down that road. But you got to have tons of patience dealing with them....tons.

I have been working on Mail App problems since I installed Windows 10 on 7/29/2015 your problem is a new one to me.
I think you should post a new question (start a new thread).
    Sorry I can't help more.

Hi, all. Welcome to the forums to all the newcomers. Enjoy your stay. :)

Just to let everyone know. MS released build 10532 yesterday to those in the fast ring. At this pace it's about one every 10 days, so an SP1 looks to be a reality soon.

If you can't live with 10 the way it is there's no shame to go back to the previous and wait or use a different email client. After all, most new releases had their share of problems, including the popular 7.

I did not receive any update today from either the store or Windows update.
But I have discovered something strange that I can't explain.
My computer has TWO accounts Admin and User. The Admin account displays notifications with more reliability.

I just noticed that the exact same email to the same account is displayed differently. My Admin account mail app displays images and my User account mail app does not, this is true for all emails.

See the same email displayed below. Admin is the top image. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS? (I already tried deleting my User account and reinstalling it with no change or improvement).

    Hello Everyone,

Check for Updates today (9/8/2015). A Cumulative Update (KB3081455) was released today. Part of this update lists 2 Notification Controllers.

After installing this update I had to open my Mail App > Settings > Options > Check Boxes for "Show a Notification Banner" & "Play a Sound".

I had those items checked but think the update removed the check marks.

My Mail App is showing Action Center, Live tile, Sounds & Banners.
It is too soon to claim this is a fix for the Mail App because we have all been disappointed before.
