I right clicked on left hand windows icon and it brought up a dialogue list which included Command Prompt (Admin). Now type - SFC /scannow

It fixed some corrupt files from the install and my emails now send!
Spoke to Microsoft and finally got it fixed, the method above worked but I needed to do some tweaking.

Help I have the same issue but can't run the fix, when I run SFC /scannow I get "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service." This is from an admin command prompt. My Windows module installer aka trustedinstaller is set to manual, I see it start and stop when I run the command. I have disabled the firewall (read this elsewhere).

I've tried running it offline but my system reserved partition doesn't have a drive letter, if I run it as sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=c:\windows it says The arguments passed to sfc are invalid. The offline windows directory specified points to the online system.

    Help...

    Problems with outlook

Here is another thing to try if you are still having Outlook problems..

    Click start
    Command prompt (ADMIN)
    Type netsh press return
    Type winsock reset press return
    Restart windows.

SFC /scannow does not always fix it.......This worked for me..

I know this maybe a tad harsh, but if you are not getting anywhere...would it be worth restoring to an earlier point and start again, just in case of corrupt files..Just a suggestion?? Len
