    Ebay and Browsers

I've had (or had) an ebay account for years, used firefox or edge. But a couple of months ago ebay said my account had
suspicious activity, I only use it to buy stuff. So I went along with ebay uk and started a new account, well three more
actually because every time I started one, I had to do the capture and failed each time. They told me I must use
chrome to stop losing my accounts, which I think is rubbish, It doesn't matter if I use private or let all the cookies on, it
    still blocks me. Any idea's?.

Ideas? I'm going to guess someone else from another IP address is hacking your account.. otherwise perhaps you are being seen as using multiple different IPs - are you using a VPN?

Try using Ebay 2FA - 2nd half of this article.

VPNs are a waste of money. Does anyone really know what the servers are harvesting from your Internet activities? Nope, they don't. I would rather trust my ISP for a super fast and reliable connection. Speaking of fast. That's another reason to avoid VPN services/programs. You'll lose 30% to 50% of download speeds due to bouncing all over the world to different servers.

If someone needs anoynimity they use the TOR browser, and usally for nefarious goings on.

Did EBay tell you to start a new account ? Has the first account been deleted ? If not, may be reason why you can't initiate another acct.

Very strange EBay would direct you to use a specific browser. Unless the acct has actually been hacked and not just "suspicious activity" normally they ask you to verify your info, security, and change passwords.

If you're using the same credentials (email and/or account name) each time, it would be pretty easy for the original hacker to keep hacking the ones you create. Without knowing for sure you don't have a compromised PC (virus, keylogger, etc), are you creating new accounts with all new credentials (email addresses and/or account names)?

I would try and recover the original Ebay account and delete the others. I would change your password and enable 2 step verification. Ebay may think you are the hacker if you keep creating accounts using the same Email address and Password. Also whatever browser you are using, be sure to Clear the Browser Cache before logging in.

Ebay helped me create another account with another password, then in the next breath said the account had been comprised. This was after I called them and went through a step by step instructions with on starting a new account, as soon as I started one, it took me to the capture page and failed me time after time again.
