Windows 8.1 folders (and subfolders) will migrate to Win 10 Mail

All of my Windows 8.1 Mail folders and subfolders migrated to Windows 10 Mail when I upgraded this week. However, I can't create any new folders or subfolders in Win 10 Mail (like everyone else has noted).

If you make sure all the folders and subfolders you may need are created in Win 8.1 Mail BEFORE you upgrade to Win 10 Mail, they will migrate. But, you'll have to individually "sync" each folder in order for the actual emails to appear in the folder.

Pooh on MIcrosoft for not giving us a Mail account that is fully functional. This is an "Upgrade"???

You are talking about Windows Mail - the one that originally came with Vista that replaced Outlook Express, right? Not the Windows Live Mail that came with Windows 7.

My first thought after reading this was to wonder if you can change folder names. Because if you can, you can first create a lot of empty folders that are "untitled" and then name them when you know what the names should be.

My second thought was, if you have a second computer with Windows 7 or 8, can you create a new folder and just import it into Windows 10 when you need it?

Would you be able to try either or both of these and let me know the results? Just a note, I have Windows 7 but I don't know if it would mattter if you were migrating from 7 or 8 with Windows Mail (not Live Mail).
