    Transfer Win 10 Credentials

A month ago a friend ("Cookie" -- and the name fits!) gave me a nice older machine with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 (2.33GHz), 3GB RAM (expandable to 8GB), 485GB hard drive (most of it free space), and a Windows 10 install that was upgraded from Vista last year. It is now upgraded to Win 10 15063.138, the Creators Update (I updated two days ago).

The upgrade was problem free. I'd now like to convert Cookie's registration to my Microsoft registration; alas, Cookie does not remember her userid or password. She gave me two passwords to try and two userids, but no combination works.

The computer is nice, clean, and quiet. I'd like to keep Win 10 on it, so what should my next step be?

I would do a clean install of Win 10, you will not need a registration key since Win 10 is already registered.

TenForums has a Tutorial written by Brink if your not sure how to do it.
