    Microsoft Edge questions

    Hi

I have the build 10162 of Windows 10 and am configuring Microsoft Edge.

How do I make sure that, when I open this browser, a specific web page is opened?

How do I add a search provider?

In his address bar, how I always display the full address?

The settings in the "Internet Options" of "Internet Explorer" are still relevant when I'm using the new browser?

    Thanks

    Bye

In the upper right hand corner of the browser you should find three dots("...") Select that and go to the settings. You should find and figure out what you want to do.. if you have any more questions.. just ask.. I might have time to help or someone else will..

I had already tried to do this but I have found no answer to my questions. Why?

    Thanks

Did you click the Settings entry -- and see the new panel open with lots of options, including importing favorites and establishing your start page preferences?

Edge would not be too bad if not for all the ads.

I have been using Edge for a few months and I have never seen one ad. What kind of ads do you see and where do you see them?

Since I have never seen any ads in Edge, I have been trying for over an hour to replicate what you are talking about. What kind of ads are they, are they car ads or beer ads or what? How big are they? Are they little pop ups or are they smaller? Where and when do you see them?

I think he means there's no extension capability, to install an adblocker or whatever... Many people seem to be violently opposed to anything that might show ads. As if seeing an ad will somehow make them die a horrible death.

I've never used an adblocker, ever... I see no need for them. I'm not typically bothered by ads, and I view them as a social contract between me and the content providers. If I don't like their ads, or they are too prevalent, then I simply go somewhere else. It's that simple.

Thank you Mystere, I really didn't know what he was talking about. If you are correct, then I guess that I have always seen ads since the very first day I ever used a computer. I have never blocked ads so I got use to them
