    MS Edge and slide show...

MS Edge having issues with slideshow at the USA Today website. The slideshow of 90 pics from the World Cup, on the bottom of the page, is slow and CPU utilization fluctuate between 60 - 80%. The system becomes sluggish, until Edge is closed, here's a capture of the page with resource utilization:

The W10 version is 10162, running in VMware player.

The W7 host system accessing the same slideshow with IE11 has no problem with the slideshow. The CPU utilization increases by 20-30%, but the system does not get sluggish and I can't click fast enough to slow down the slideshow.

Can anyone else test the slideshow with Edge to see if it's the Edge browser, or my system? TIA...

Are you talking about the 58 second video?

It plays fine with minimal cpu usage for me if that's what you're trying to view.

I just tried the slide show and it worked.. not perfect.. a bit of hesitation but it works. But keep in mind that I have mine set up on an SSD not in a VM.

Yeah, so? My VM is setup on an SSD drive as well...

    Kidding aside...

Thanks for testing. In retrospect, it seems to me that it's the VMware video driver that caused the issue with slideshow. Again, thanks for testing...
