    Deleting multiple contacts in outlook.com

First of all, since outlook.com went to the OWA format, it's just a mess. I can't even use it on my phone.

My main issue however is that after having my twitter account hacked, I have about 1500 unwanted contacts in my outlook.com account. I can't seem to find a way to do a mass delete. I see where I can filter contacts by account, but I can't seem to "select all", then delete them. What am I missing?

Sin in to https://people.live.com with the Microsoft email address in question. Select all contacts (selection box next to title Your contacts), click Delete:

I don't want to actually delete ALL my contacts, just the "twitter contacts". When I select only those, neither the 'check all' box, nor the 'delete' button are an option. Very frustrating, since there are over 1500 bogus contacts linked to Twitter.

In fact, no matter how I view my contacts, either all, or by account, the "select all" button isn't available.

Check the tick box next to Your Contacts - you should then be able to delete all contacts.

How were your Outlook contacts accessed if your Twitter account as hacked? Were you using the same password?

Strange, why did you then ask about how to delete all contacts? My reply gave answer to your question in your original post:

The selection box is only shown when pointer is on top of the title Your contacts.

That's why I clarified in my reply, strange that you didn't pick up on that.

Steve, I assume Outlook sucks up contact information the way it does from Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. I was suddenly following 1500 bogus Twitter accounts that I had never heard of after the hack, and all the associated contact info is now in my Outlook contacts. What a beating.
