    Outlook pst files

This is weird I am trying to copy the pst from my main computer it is roughly 4GB in size to a USB stick to import it to my new laptop. I have 43GB of empty space on my stick yet I get the error message that the pst file is to big for my stick. Now that is weird can anyone help me with any ideas as to how I can import it into my laptop. It does not have a CD or DVD slot.

THIS URGENT as I am about to fly to the US for three weeks

FAT32 formatted USBs have a 4GB limit for each file. Right click on it and check properties.

Assuming it is FAT32 (this is the default when you buy them) you need to format it NTFS which doesn't have this restriction. To format the USB again right click on it and this time select format. Under File System pick NTFS. This deletes everything on the USB to you need to save it first.

So, in short, copy all your data off your USB stick to save it, format it NTFS then copy everything back.

exFAT might be a better choice for a USB stick. No 4GB file size limit either.

Not sure about better. It would certainly also work but I found the partition table getting corrupted with depressing regularity when using it to swap between OSX and Windows so I use NTFS instead.
