Hi Cliff S, This is now packaged with a setup.exe
    Microsoft Edge opening window position-snap-2016-09-10-21.23.33.jpg
    - which creates a start menu entry, but by default, no Start-up shortcut.
The default is not to start automatically:

    Good to know dalchina:)
I never used it myself(have never needed it)
I just found it interesting that clicking the developers link, brought one to Seven Forums
That it has a setup.exe, does it also show up in Programs & Features? Meaning is there an uninstaller included.

Yep, surely is. Like you I'd never used it, just thought I'd take a look.

For interest, you may already know of Nir Sofer's Zipinstaller for programs without an installer downloaded as a zip file- and applicable too to portable exe's if you zip the exe-

Zipinstaller opens the zip file, creates uninstall and start menu entries, and lets you specify the install path.

I thought from the MajorGeeks para you posted that was going to be needed.

Oh no! It no longer works!

When I booted-up this morning, it was back to the same old practices.
So it's back to the drawing board again.

Are you using Ccleaner, if yes have you selected Window Size/Location Cache in the advanced tab?
    Microsoft Edge opening window position-image-003.png
Window Size/Location Cache - When you open and close Windows Explorer, Windows records folder settings for window position, sort order, columns, folder type, toolbar toggles, and search result views.

This should remain unselected unless you want to reset back to Windows defaults.

I do use CCleaner, but not on this occasion.

Also, for the record, none of the items listed under 'Advanced' are checked.

What happens when you place Edge where you want it for a while,, then maximize Edge to full screen Microsoft Edge opening window position-image-006.png for a bit, then Restore Down iconMicrosoft Edge opening window position-image-005.png in the window controls?

Does it restore down to where it was?

It went full screen without any problem, then after a short while back to the position it left.

    So, all okay there...

Can you confirm you installed ShellFolderFix and that it's configured to start on log-on?
