outlook.com keeps knocking back photos under 20mb

outlook.com wont send a file with 4 photo's it says its exceeds the maixium limit which is 20mb. however when I look at the emails that I'm trying to send they are only 16.8mb.... can someone tell me how to fix this

Try sending one photo at a time. I know it's a pain in the rear, but it will work.

That would be the limits of the servers. 20mb has always been the top for attachments in email. Blame it on old school programmers. Use a service like Fliker or one of the others that you can send a link to someone for that picture. There are time bomb type services that you can send the picture link and it is only good for so long, before it gets deleted.

thanks mate, I will give it a crack. I still don't understand, if outlook says that it can send 20mb and I'm only sending 11.5 mb why does it keep knocking me back and saying the file is to large when it isn't??

My understanding , unless it changed with all the recent Outlook upgrades? , was that Outlook max is 10mb , not 20mb.

If it is over that you can use the " OneDrive Album" send instead I think , the recipient is sent a link to the Album and they can download the files themselves if desired.

I am not sure you can upgrade Outlook? if you mean Outlook.com , then No , it is what it is...... I only was referring to the fact that M$ has been upgrading the whole Outlook/Hotmail/Office part of their online presense for about 6months now. AFAIK Hotmail always had a 10mb limit per file/email attachment but perhaps I am wrong?

I still use WLM with IMAP and it offers the Picture Album Option , for hi res pics a single email per pic is still best , however do they really need HiRes Images straight out of the Camera?

I have used ImageResizer for Emailing Pics for years, just right click the image and choose a size option and hit ok.
I'd recommend opening the Advanced Menu and setting it to make Copies , not overwrite Originals 1st though.
You can choose/make a custom HiDef size or if they only have a HD monitor make it 1920x1080....
