Bing not working in Edge or Cortana

    Hi,

I recently bought a new laptop that came pre-installed with Windows 10 - everything is working fine apart from I can't do anything with Bing. Doing a search from Edge or Cortana just brings up the 'hmm can't access page' error. Trying to go to www.bing.com from Edge or IE just brings an an empty screen with a search box that doesn't do anything. Every other website I go to works fine. I installed the Anniversary update yesterday but that hasn't made any difference.

I am currently using IE with Google search and that works great - but I would like to get Bing working so that I can use Edge and Cortana.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire Nitro with an Intel I7 core 6th generation.

    Thanks in advance

Sounds an odd problem. Sometimes one off site access issues can be down to DNS and router issues. Might be worth rebooting your router and flushing the DNS cache on your PC.

I can't really think of anything else to try for that I'm afraid...

If I were faced with this issue I would now want to try the laptop on another access point (different router, different ISP etc)... beyond that... I'd probably make a disk image of the laptop as it stands now, and then do a factory restore to bring it back to day 1 condition and see if it works then. If it did, I would then look at clean installing the latest W10 version.

Maybe someone else reading this has some other ideas :)
